Five students in the Creative Computing programme area of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) were recently rewarded by Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT) for producing videos that promote awareness of online safety.

In conjunction with Safer Internet Day 2022, Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) participated in a joint webinar with its counterparts from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. The online event hosted by CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) was entitled ‘Webinar Kita Siber Serumpun’ and streamed via YouTube Live.

Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT) is offering public webinars in a bid to educate the residents of Brunei Darussalam about the latest cyber threats and safe online practices. Over 600 participants have attended BruCERT’s series of webinars since they began in November of last year.

Four Bruneians represented Brunei Darussalam in the virtual ASEAN Cyber SEA Games 2021 held on the 26th November 2021. The Cyber SEA Game competition was hosted virtually by the ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC) and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand.
