CSB Hosts Educational Visit from Cosmopolitan College

A group of 28 students and lecturers from Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology (CCCT) made an educational visit to Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) today. The students who are currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Computing, were led by CCCT lecturer, Dennis Tanjusay.

During the visit, the students had the pleasure of gaining insights into the national cybersecurity agency’s operations, with an introduction into CSB’s core services namely Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT), Cyber Watch Centre (CWC), and the National Digital Forensics Laboratory (NDFL).

The students also had the unique opportunity to visit NDFL, where they observed how Digital Forensic Analysts carefully collect electronic evidence with the use of advanced tools. They also learned how hard drives can be safely erased and destroyed in adherence with the strict standards of the digital forensics laboratory.
